St Mary’s Staff Health Fair, May 6th 2014, was a great success with over 200 staff visiting the fair throughout the course of the day. Organised by the health promotion committee there was a wide variety of health check stands provided by differing staff groups across the campus. Staff had an opportunity to gather information on general health promotion, have some random health screening tests carried out and enjoy some alternative therapies. The day was evidence of the camaraderie among the staff in St Mary’s sharing their areas of expertise for the benefit of their colleagues.
The event also seen the official launch of a new on line education programme ISHCA - Implementing and Supporting Holistic Continence Awareness - by Ms Eithne Cusack, Director of NMPD Dublin North. In her address Ms Cusack commended the staff on their success with this innovative education programme which has been made available not only for staff in St Mary’s but also to the wider healthcare arena.
